Kotpad is a small town famous for unique natural dye process and extra weft weaving in Odisha. Historically, the tribal community used to weave this isothermal textile for the royalty. The indegenous Mirgan tribe actively practice the tradional weaving even today. Kotpad received the GI Tag in 2005.
