Shrujan’s ‘Zahra Jaal’ 45cm X 30cm multi-coloured hand embroidered handloom cotton takiya cover pair has been embroidered by the women of the Jat Garaasiya community from the Kutch region of Gujarat. The embroidery is done by counting the thread of the fabric. The designs are not printed and the artisan herself is the designer of the embroidery. This style is characterized by geometrical patterns in bright colours. The mushroo cotton used in these takiya covers is handwoven in Kutch and the back of the covers is made from discharge and block printed cotton.
This multi-coloured 45cm X 30cm (18” X 12”) takiya cover pair can be used to add an element of tradition to your home.
