Shrujan’s ‘Tana Bana’ 30cm X 30cm parrot green hand embroidered handloom raw silk cushion cover pair has been embroidered by the women of the Jat Garaasiya community from the Kutch region of Gujarat. The embroidery is done by counting the thread of the fabric. The designs are not printed and the artisan herself is the designer of the embroidery. This style is characterized by geometrical patterns in bright colours. The handloom raw silk used in the front and back of these cushion covers is handwoven in Southern India.
