Description
Dabu Vibes : Hand Block Printed Chanderi Saree - Agni Pallav. Leaf-like impressions scattered across a vibrant field reflect stylised foliage blocks used in Dabu traditions, translating nature into bold hand-printed rhythm. Practised for centuries, Dabu is a resist-printing technique where a mud paste made of clay, gum, and natural ingredients is applied to the fabric using hand-carved wooden blocks. The cloth is then dyed — often in earthy indigo or deep natural tones — while the resist preserves the printed areas, revealing layered motifs once washed and sun-dried. The beautiful texture of the fabric allows the resist-printed motifs to breathe across the fabric, lending the saree an understated yet deeply rooted character. Today, a Dabu-printed saree moves gracefully from heritage wear to thoughtful festive gifting, carrying the quiet richness of Rajasthan’s craft traditions.
