Hailing from the village of Sanganer in Rajasthan and inspired by the beauty of the ancient, exquisitely landscaped ‚ÄòBaugs‚Äô (gardens), this 500-year-old printing style is characterized by the usage of pale, subtle and tranquil colours with intricate and quite often enlarged standalone motifs (buttas) dominated by a variety of flora such as poppies, lilies, marigolds and sun flowers.
